Privacy policy

Short version: this site has no accounts, no newsletters, no analytics, and sets no cookies of its own. The only parties that process anything about your visit are my hosting provider (by necessity) and Amazon (only if you click through to them).

Who I am

BossRod Garage is operated by Rod (contact:hello@bossrod.com). I am the data controller for this site.

What this site collects

Nothing, deliberately. There are no contact forms, no comments, no accounts, no newsletters, no analytics scripts, and no advertising networks on this site. No cookies are set by this site, so there is no cookie banner — there is nothing to consent to here.

Like every website, requests are logged by my CDN (Amazon CloudFront) for security and performance. Those logs contain your IP address, browser user agent, requested URL and timestamp. I do not use them to profile you, and they are not combined with any identity — there are no accounts to combine them with. They are the standard logs Amazon holds as my infrastructure provider; see theAmazon privacy notice for their handling.

When you click through to Amazon

The "Check price on Amazon" buttons are affiliate links. Once you land on Amazon, Amazon's own privacy policy governs — including any cookies they set for affiliate attribution (typically 24 hours). I never see what you do there beyond anonymised totals: this site earned a commission or it didn't.

Your rights

Children

The site is aimed at car owners and collects no data from anyone, including children under 13/16.

Changes

If the site ever adds analytics, a newsletter, or anything that collects personal data, this page will be updated first — and a cookie banner will probably appear with it.
